My good friend handed me a DVD set a couple of weeks ago that I’m just now getting around to watching. It’s called Heima, which is not an IKEA product, but close. It’s concert footage from 16 different Sigur Ros gigs in Iceland.
Two things:
-
Sigur Ros is cool
-
Icelandic people look cool

ok, sigur ros is, as of recent, been chosen as my favorite band. Some friends and I actually went to asheville to see the relese of the video in theater. When I come for easter, i can give you any of their music you may want. In the mean time, my favorite tunes are “Hoppipolla” and “Staralfur” and “Glosoli.” Also check out “Agaetis Byrjun” and “Samskeyti.” the music blows my mind. the vocalist sometimes sings in icelandic, but most of the time he is singing in a made-up language called hopelandic. The idea is that the voice is another accompanying instrument rather than a separately written part. Anyway, enough boring trivia. they are an amazing band to get into.
