There is something to be said for flexibility + adaptability of spatial conditions though... I&#039;ve actually been thinking about doing my thesis on a residential version of this idea: could you make a house that expanded and contracted to adjust to your stage in life? Single &gt; Roomates &gt; Spouse &gt; No kids &gt; one kid &gt; four kids &gt; no kids &gt; in-laws... Could the exterior, physical form change as well as the interior space? Could multiple adjustable residences be contained by a single large building without running into each other? Would a residence like this impact peoples decisions to move or not throughout life because of their spatial &quot;needs&quot;? If so/if not what would this do to communities?
